The Importance of Breathwork in Yoga
An important part of yoga is the focus on conscious breathing (pranayama).
Conscious breathing helps to centre the mind, develop a mind body connection and create stillness in our busy lives.
Headstand Demonstration
The headstand is an advanced yoga pose great for increasing blood flow to the brain. It requires a lot of shoulder and core strength to be able to hold good form.
In our INTERMEDIATE classes some students will be able to progress from shoulder stands into a full headstand.
In our BEGINNER classes students are offered simpler inversions like 'legs up the wall'.

Not sure what to expect at your first Yoga class? Follow Melissa in this short 90 second yoga flow.
Expect these movements in our intermediate classes.
While beginners classes are slower, include more rests and allow you to learn at your own pace.
